Overwatch 2 won't install past ~ 567.50 mb, on Xbox Series X. Despite repeated resets.

What I would suggest first is to try powercycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down then unplug it for 5 minutes. During this time unplug your modem/router for at least 60 seconds to clear any possible issues there.

When your internet is back up and running you can start the console and try again.

If you still have the same issue you may need to purchase an external USB 3.0 drive or the Xbox Series X/S expansion drive to install to

I have the Xbox Series X and the things I’ve tried to fix the problem are

• Changing my NAT Type from Moderate to Open

• Disconnecting and reconnecting my Battlenet ID from my Xbox account

• Port forwarding ports from Overwatch 2 directly to my router

• Restarting my Xbox Series X

• Deleting and reinstalling Overwatch 2

• Restarting my router

None of these things have worked whatsoever

I’m positive. I have a Series X and Overwatch has just been optimised for Series consoles. This is installed on my external drive and loads and runs just fine. It just doesn’t take advantage of the Xbox Velocity Architecture.

Your drive will work the same on Series X as it does on Xbox One and you won't need to format it.

However, Series X games or Xbox One games with Series X enhancements will not run from that drive and will either need to be installed internally or to an external SSD designed for Series X/S.

Your hard drive will be too slow for Series X games. They can be stored there, but not run from there.

All of those games you mentioned are series S/X enhanced; so if you have an external storage unit, you will have to install them on your internal hard drive/main Xbox storage.

However, if the storage isn’t an issue, you could try doing restarting your Xbox or perform an power reset:

1. Hold down your Xbox power button for 10 seconds

2. Remove the power plug from the back for 1 min

3. After that, plug it back in and turn it on. (This usually fixes issues)

Then finally, if that doesn’t work, make sure your series X is up-to-date with updates, and check Xbox support status to see if these games are experiencing issues.
