Overwatch 2 is stuck in a Free Trial mode.

Hello and thank you for reading my complaint.

My issue is that Overwatch 2, a FREE TO PLAY game, is stuck in a Free Trial mode. I didn't see it as much of an issue at first until a screen appeared saying "You can not play the free trial of Overwatch at this time." whenever I click the enter game button on the main menu. On it, it says I am able to PURCHASE the full game on the Microsoft store, however, the link doesn't take me anywhere because the Overwatch: Origins Edition doesn't exist anymore.

My attempts to resolve this myself slowly increased in how big the process is:

1. I first tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

2. After I reset my console to get rid of the trial.

3. And lastly I hard reset my console by holding the power button and unplugging it for 30 seconds.

None of these worked, obviously because I am here now. I was wondering if there is a way you guys would be able to remove the trial version of the game from my account as I really want to play this game with my friends, and I am getting left out. Thanks!

Hi Oliver, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly uninstall the game and then sign in to this link, after that click "Buy to own", you'll see "free" below it. Lastly, click "Get". You should now see the option "Install to".

Are you still experiencing this issue? As mentioned in my previous reply, a hotfix was pushed out for this problem on the 5th and should have resolved it. If you are no longer experiencing this issue, please select my first response as the "Answer" so that this thread can be closed.
