overwatch 2 free trial glitch

hello. so recently yesterday when overwatch 2 came out i went to go install/get the game and it says free trial even though its a free to play game i went to the xbox website and get the game for free and it said downloading to Xbox. it never downloaded and i tried uninstalling the game and going to get it from the Microsoft store and it still said install free trial. went back to the xbox website to get it and it said you already own this when its still a free trial please help

Are you still experiencing this issue? As mentioned in my previous reply, a hotfix was pushed out for this problem on the 5th and should have resolved it. If you are no longer experiencing this issue, please select my first response as the "Answer" so that this thread can be closed.

But first, can you try downloading the game using the remote download feature using this time the Xbox mobile app instead?

If that doesn't work, tell me what else did you tried so far

I found another discussion for this, and there are multiple answers, but the one I see the most is to change the setting on your xbox to "play disk automatically". This will force the xbox to read the disk first, before internal storage, which is where it
is reading the free trial from. Hopefully this helps!

The thing is, thats already checked. It still does the trial thing
