    Why remove the controls overlay from remote play. What is the point of playing on a mobile device if you need to connect a controller or rely on a third party device to play a game. I own a backbone and it works for longer gaming sessions but when I just want to play for 10-20 minutes there should be onscreen controls that can be used instead of bringing a controller with you just to use your device as a mini monitor. Talk about going backwards on innovation and accessibility.

    Hey Silence7473GZ, sorry you're dealing with this frustration with remote play! I understand that removing the on-screen controls can make quick, casual gaming sessions way less convenient, especially for those who don’t always want to carry a controller around.

    Can't hide "basic controls" overlay during Xbox Flight Simulator.

    I am not talking about the HUD. The control overlay is covering the entire screen showing the xbox game controller and what all the buttons do.

    After you bring up the Xbox menu by hitting the centre button on the controller, go to the party settings, and then you should see an option for "Voice Overlay."

    If you want to remove it, then toggle it off. You can also change where it's located on the screen by selecting "Configure voice overlay."

    No I didn't because the app was literally just installed and the overlay menu has never had a problem before the controller was connected.

    I already did this and while it fixes the overlay problem, the controller unfortunately still does not register the steam configuration and sticks to the one set in the xbox accessories app.
