    Overheating


    Hiya.

    So anyone that lives in Australia knows it gets hot here and recently it's been pretty hot which I have taken into account but has anyone elses XBOXONE been getting pretty hot while playing certain games? I've been playing AC: Unity and my game crashed (granted
    the game has bugs atm) but when I felt my console it was really hot. Is it just the heat and the game or is there an actual problem here?

    Never heard of an XB1 overheating.....

    Update bricked my console

    Sounds like you have a faulty console... or you are trolling. the only two threads you have made are this one and how your console overheated why playing forza. so if you are telling the truth, it may be because your console is faulty in some way. maybe the overheating issues are causing more internal problems. sorry to hear.

    Mine has been running very cool since I bought it on Day one. How does it go with other games?

    Could be a problem with your console.

    Other games, it goes pretty smoothly. Playing Destiny for about 4+ hours straight there isn't any overheating or loud fan noises.

    Sounds like the game. I wouldn't worry to much as the console will shut itself down to avoid damage if it overheats. Keep an eye on it though and keep the place you have the console well ventilated. I don't have AC unity to compare.

    Yeah I think it might be the game and the heat recently. And oh okay well that's good then, thanks for the help though.

    Overheating

    sounds like it may be the game - with the crashing problem - have had a few games do that now.

    just monitor it and see how it goes - check it out when the outside temp has cooled down and if its still running hot.

    mines warm to the touch.

    Mine has been running really hot had the controller sitting on top of the console was pretty hot to the touch underneath and to touch the top of the console is really how not warm... actually hot ... and this wasn't on a hot day either also i notice my power
    brick makes allot of noise Overheating o_O ... console is probably 2 months old give or take.

    Haven't noticed any difference with the console besides that runs fine.

    Sudden shut off's are usually related to the unit overheating or thinking it is overheating.

    See if your console is overheating? Probably hardware issue causing it to overheating and it forces a restart.

    Nope, the game and everything is installed on HD. Have talked to my friends, and they have noticed the same thing, really hot on the topside.....
