    My Xbox one x has been overheating for quite some time now but recently when I load up any graphics demanding game my Xbox will automatically shut off and restart I have not placed it on any carpets had the thermal paste re-applied cleaned it and put it in a well ventilated place and it still does it the only game I can play is Roblox and Minecraft is it possible that I can get a new Xbox or refund. Note my Xbox is past warranty.

    The comments/ replies I am reading are asking how it is plugged in etc.

    Are they just clutching at straws trying to mute the complaints or could this genuinely be a problem?

    My whole TV set up is plugged in to a 4 bank extension with power surge protection (this is because the plug sockets are no where near where I have placed my unit etc.

    Also the rear USB ports are giving power as my External HDD does light up when plugged in, and I use a lead to power my controller instead of eating batteries, this does work, just the HDD isn’t recognised when using the rear ports

    Hopefully this can be an easy fix otherwise after spending such a large amount and now the current stock shortages
    i tried plugging it in to the wall outlet, same problem...

    im having the same issue i picked up my project scorpio edition last night started ac origins and have had 8 system shut offs within 2hrs of playing I've tried everything nothing worked and just to make sure it wasn't a issue with the game i hooked up my
