Overheating Message without any Overheating

I am experiencing an issue where my Xbox shuts off during particular cut scenes of several different games end displays the overheating error even though the Xbox is physically very cool and has been on for less than 5 minutes. I can spend hours in the
games doing anything else, but during specific cut scenes there is an instant crash. I have hard reset, I have factory reset, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game (which seemed to move the crash trigger to somewhere else in the game but the issue remains).

Anyone heard of this or know of a fix?

Hi Warlord,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. With certain AAA games there are spots that can cause the games to crash. Personally had it with Red dead redemption 2. You can try a

soft factory reset, there maybe an OS file corrupt. Important note, we do recommend to keep eye on the console, as the processor can overheat but the console be cool.

Hello Warlord,

Since this is happening with different games, it may be a hardware issue. It could be a faulty temperature sensor, bank of system/GPU RAM, power supply etc.

Would you please describe what you see on your screen when the shut down occurs?

Do you have an external hard drive? If so, please install one of the games which triggers this issue on to it and report back if the problem happens exactly as before.

Do you get an actual error message that the console is overheating, or is the console simply turning off without any message?

As for "epidemic" problem, two of my consoles (a Xbox One X and the original Day One Xbox One) are running on a 55'' TV and on a video beamer to a 3 meter silver screen, without overheating or other issues. So I wouldn't call it "epidemic".

Your consul is not overheating. It is a high-end electronic device and they put out a lot of heat. Please go watch any PC enthusiast video he will see massive cooling systems. If your Xbox is overheating it will shut down and display a message saying it’s
overheating. If you don’t see that it’s not overheating
