Overall thoughts on Battlefront. Recommend or not recommend?

Its really just meant to be an accessible shooter for all. And I think they succeeded. Which is why its very arcadey if you will. Hit detection is actually pretty good. Having dedicated servers helps with that. If you're having issues it could be your speeds..I
give it 8.5/10

 

Yeah I should of worded it better. Not hit detection but the early ranked blasters suck and have to unload how many shots for a kill. Don't start unlocking good stuff till after rank 10. But by the time we started playing first day people from EA access
already had like 10 hours to level up and have better stuff before rest of community plays. EA access seems to be a joke. $5 a month for old games. Better off to buy the games you want cause if you stop paying monthly I'm sure they turn off them games.
Also they take forever to add game to the vault. Usually all the games are old when they do.

 

Five whole maps (4 at release) well color me impressed.... Yeah, it's a good looking game with some awesome lag compensation ... Here's how you know it's lagging, you go from doing well to doing bad and the only noteable difference is that your photon bolts
are now passing harmlessly through your opponents. But when it's working good it's good fun.

The weapon unlocks and card unlocks are alright, but the customization is *** (ooh I can make my storm trooper have a beard and a wrinkly bald head...Yay!) imperial storm troopers, marines, scouts are supposed to be faceless villains ... Removing their helmets
was dumb, instead there should have been some unlockable pauldrons, belts, sabatons, packs, ranks or even some coloration like the blue of the 501st and even some weathering and wear effects ... But not helmet less

 

Yeah I haven't played Star Wars in weeks. Probably almost a good month. I didn't even download the free dlc yet. Also bored with Rainbow Six Siege already. Also bought Elite dangerous but I'm horrible at that so I don't bother.

 

I just got this, so am i right that there is no campaign? wtf? so it's basically Call Of Duty with no campaign!?

 

Yes sawyerneil, this game has no campaign. It's pretty much Titanfall all over again, a overpriced online multiplayer only game.

 

Should've done a bit of research i guess but that it atrocious. I don't understand it when people are happy to mindlessly run around shooting for no reason. What a let down!

 

its pretty much ovr already, had high hopes, but thats what happens when you get your hopes up, case in point: having alot of fun with a 3yr old free game i never thought to try before

wot, the upgrade and currency systems are a little complicated, but the squad system is good the maps are big, the graphics are above average, the gameplay is smooth and the lobbies (15v15) are full, theres no scoreboard, theres no kd, match time is set
at 15 but it never goes that long, you can cap the one obj or you can wipe out the other team cause theres no respawn, and you dont have to spend any money to compete

 

Call it what you want but, like you mentioned, EA Access members had a 10 hour jump on everyone else. I dont pay $5 a month. I paid for a year and only had to pay $30. Whether you think the games are old or you just plain ol dont like EA, they do have enough
decent games to justify $2.50 per month. The ONLY reason I subscribed is to be able to play early. The only EA games I like are this one and PvZ Garden Warfare, which has a sequel coming out next month that I have preordered and received a 10% as well as being
able to play a week before everyone else.

This game is not a hardcore shooter ...it is what it is....and tbh i love the game for all that it is. Only thing is there is no real single player campaign. But again that does not bother me to much i got it for the multiplayer which looks fantastic and
plays fantastic ...............love it
