Over the past 2 weeks, I’ve been getting worse and worse connection speeds. Someone help?

First off, I want to say that there’s no possible way this can be an issue with my network. Just today, I brought my Xbox One S (3 years old) and my brothers original Xbox One (7 years old) to the living room where my router is. I first connected my Xbox
to the router through Ethernet, and I ran a network speed test. 4 mbps. Then I turned off my Xbox, disconnected the Ethernet, and repeated the same process for my brothers Xbox. 150 mbps. In the same room, using the same Ethernet cable, on the same router.
Also, I factory reset my console and tried to see if there was any improvement, and there wasn’t one. This leads me to believe there is some kind of major hardware issue with my Xbox that causes it to be this way. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there
any way to fix it?

P.S. Similar results come from connecting them wirelessly also.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have an issue with connection speeds. Have you tried rebooting your network hardware? It is possible the hardware is malfunctioning. You can go to

device support to register, check warranty, and set up a repair.

I’ve had the same issue for 6 months. I’ve noticed if I have a play n charge or anything plugged into the front USB port, it’s so much worse. I’ve been using the back USB for the past few weeks and not had any disconnects. Worth a try anyway

I have connection problems with the latest update not the same as yours but they messed up the wireless driver this update.

Black Ops 2 matches people with better connection with people that have worse connection. It also is to do with the hosts upload speed.
