    Over sensitive main Power button!


    Hey,

    I really enjoy the xbox one, but there is a very anoying problem...

    The power button on the console, is way to sensitive up to the point were Inaimate objects will turn off the system.

    Basically, Im playing xbx close up because room size which gives the ability to use earphone/headphones on the TV.

    Because xbox one is in frount of me (directly), the cable of the head/earphone keeps turning off my xbox and times

    when my window is open in the day, theres wind as you know, blows though the window.... when my xbox gets a draft of

    wind it turns of because of the over sensitive power button.

    So im wondering is there a way to make it less sensitive without having to remove the button?

    Also in case if your wondering I dont have a kinect.

    I hope to be hearing soon, about a salution that will stop this from happening all the time..

    XBOX TURN ON BY IT SELF.

    Is it an original Xbox One or the newer S model? The power button on the original is very sensitive. Try powering it completely off (hold power button for 5 seconds or so).

    Xbox360 slim keeps turning itself off

    Hi, try giving the buttons on the console a wipe over with a soft dry cloth, sometimes dirty fingerprints can activate the touch sensitive buttons. Do you see any lights flashing in the power button when the console turns off at all?

    I do understand your concerns regarding the sensitive of the power button entirely, I notice it myself when I lean over my console and a piece of clothing gently drifts across!

    At this point, there isn't anything that can really be done to reduce the sensitivity of it.

    I'm afraid to say that at the moment, it is not possible to disable the physical power button.

    Hi, if your console is the slim model with the touch sensitive buttons then try giving the power and eject buttons a wipe over with a clean soft cloth to remove any dirty fingerprints etc that may be setting the buttons off.

    Hi there, try giving the eject button and power button a good wipe over with a soft dry cloth. The flashing light is an indication the eject button has been pressed and the tray is opening or closing. It could just be dirty fingerprints setting the touch
    sensitive button off.
