Over 24 hours to install a game?!

I got Wolfenstein on Monday, I proceeded to install it immediately and it got to 90% quite fast, however it has only finished installing now. OVER 24 HOURS LATER!

This is not acceptable, and yes I power cycled the console twice, it made no difference. I have a very fast internet connection too (120mb d/l)

This is the second complaint thread I have been compelled to post since the June update, I had no problems with my console until the update but since installing it I have had nothing but problems.

Please tell me this will be addressed in the July update.

I got my new xbox one last weekend and started/try to install "Ryse" and after almost 4 hours judging from the red bar it still is far from finished. And now I read here that "Wolfenstein" will be the same pain? Maybe I am lucky and will play my games in
2 days.

Seriously? I thought downloads on the 360 were slow but this next-gen-experience is ridiculous.

 

Wolfenstein worked for me and Ryse after I went offline and restarted the xbox. Should be easier, lol.

 

WS:TNO is appoxment 44,550,000MB. So each hour appoxment 1,856,250MB per hour. So it take a good 24 hours for the games to download. Unless you luckly have fiber opic connection that in thory can transmint1 gps. And can download it under a minute.

 

This seems a bit odd to me. I've heard things like this before from other xbox users.

My only advice is to get a hold of Support by phone. It may be the xbox it self.

Ok maybe I wasn't too clear on this, this is not a digital version of the game, it is a brand new disc version of the game it had a 7GB patch but even then it should not take over 24hours to install the final 10% of the game?! I have downloaded bigger patches
and games to my XB1 and it didn't take any longer then 3-4 hours.

 

I've seen something similar since the Junes update. For me I try and launch a game and it says waiting for update. If I go to the my games and apps tile and select the game I want to play and goto options and select install it bumps it up the queue and
sorts itself out.

See if this works for you. If so I think they need to look at the auto update code since the update as this seems to be getting stuck.

About this, My actual problem wasn't the download, on the app management it shows it is done but once I run the game (Ryse) it shows "Installing" and frozen.

Any thoughts?

 

It should take almost 17 hours. By having a 120mps connection for the update to download. And since we talking disc here and not a digital version. That last part only should take 3-4 hours tops. Have there been brownout with your connection or there was
alot people in your block where using the internet at the time of DL update?
