    Hey all,

    After about 5 years I just bought an xbox one and when I logged in, it said that I couldn't renew my xbox live gold subscription due to an outstanding payment. I should add that I used to have a 360 back in the days and when it broke down, I had no use for
    the subscription anymore. I am not sure if I cancelled the renewal or if they really could not charge me, however when I logged onto the website I could not find any outstanding payments. I already deleted and re-entered my debit card (same as before) to no
    success. In addition, I then purchased a code for a 3 months subscription which I can not use, it again states that I have to pay an outstanding payment first.

    Can anyone advise me on how I can find this payment so I can pay it off? I would hate to create a new account, mainly due to nostalgia honestly.

    Hello Tim,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. If being that old you probably have a suspended subscription. With this you are unable to redeem codes or purchase new subscription. We recommend requesting a call back in this case to talk with a support agent about this.

    When you go to
    Contact Us     to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

    • Step 1 ----select Xbox One
    • Step 2 ----select see more options then subscription changes
    • Step 3-----select show contact options
    • Step 4 ----select request a call from support

    Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
