Outlast sequel confirmed.

"After shipping the Xbox One version of Outlast, we took some time to analyse our situation and we quickly realised we had at least another horror game in us," Morin said in
an interview with Bloody Disgusting.

"So, yes, we are working on Outlast 2. We're still a small indie studio, so we'll need a little bit of time to ship our next game, but hopefully it will be worth it."

For now, little is known of the Outlast 2 project. The first game shipped on PC in 2013, then later on PS4and Xbox
One, and set its story inside a derelict psychiatric hospital. The game was perhaps most recognisable for its use of horror in night-vision mode.

However, Morin said the studio is eager to try something different with the sequel.

"We have new ideas and themes we'd like to explore and we think we're cooking up something special," he said.

Heard about this earlier. I say BRING IT ON! Outlast had a pretty good length for a game like that so hopefully they don't try to drag "Outlast 2" out

Now, I really liked outlast but...

*** these Amnesia clones. I', glad to see a resurgence of Survival-horror games but I'm sick of them losing combat. I feel more scared when I realize it might be my fault if I take that risk.

 

I still need to blow that whistle. I definitely will some day. I'm just kinda backed up on games right now and it's only going to get worse over the next month. The sequel will surely be played when it comes out.
