I'm thinking about getting it, i've always wanted to play this game.

Outlast- Survival Horror XBox One????

Just to let you all know

Outlast is now available on Xbox One

 

Looks like Outlast will be coming to Xbox One soon.

It's available via the Xbox One store right now. Probably an oops. Outlast is $19.99 and Whistleblower is $8.99.

 

I'd be all over this right now if I didn't have so much to play. I was seeing some negative things, but had a look on the marketplace and the screenshots and description sounded like it could be pretty damn scary. I haven't been scared playing a game since
Dead Space.

 

I would wait for a sale IMO. The games pretty good but it's very repetitive and on top of that the games only about 4-5 hours long.

 

I bought it and played for a bit.

In just the first 30 min you'll get the crap scared out of you haha.

If you like survivor/horror this is pretty much the game you've always wanted.

 

It's a really fun game, but I have to agree with Bon3zz. I bought it for full price on PSN, and while I don't necessarily regret it, I did manage to finish it in roughly 4 hours. If you consider $15 or $20 steep for a
game that most can complete in 1 session, then consider waiting for it to go on sale.

If you're really into horror games though, then you may want to go ahead and give it a go. If you play with headphones and the lights off, it can be an intense experience. Video games don't really bother me in that regard,
but Outlast made me jump a couple of times.

 

I thought video games didn't scare me, until Dead Space. Nothing has quite had the same effect though, not even the sequels.

Outlast is $26 here so that's a bit steep for me considering the amount of time it takes to complete it, I'm a huge survival horror fan, but I'm yet to start Deadpool and Wolfenstien so will look into after those.

 

It's a good game that's made me jump a couple of times. I can imagine it being really scary if you play it in the dark with headphones like the folks at IGN did.

I played a little bit of it earlier. I was scared quite a few times.

 

I think the X1 version actually comes with the Whistle Blower DLC too.

When I started a new game it asked "New Game, or New Game Whistle Blower"

If so that a whole other campaign as well so should add quite a few more hours of gameplay.

 

^I would love confirmation on that mate, because when I look at it on the marketplace the DLC is being sold separately so wouldn't really make sense to include it in the original game and sell it separately because who would buy it?

You're probably right, most likely its jut one of those things where if you select it, it just takes you to the marketplace

 

Yeah I would suspect that would be the case =(
