Outdated Parental Account; Microsoft Services Agreement is preventing me from making changes ...

So I created my Xbox Account in I think 2009 or 2008 with a parental account but thing is, the cable privider with that parental account (back in 2009 or 8) was different from today however the Microsoft Services Agreement back in August this year is preventing
me a lot of access to my Xbox account so I would very much like some help on how to solve this so I'll put what I'm having problems with right now.

1. Parental Account that was signed up with my current Xbox account is outdated becuase the Internet service provider is different from today. The outdated Parental account was Road Runner and today's is Time Warner.

2. The Microsoft Services Agreement from August 1st 2015 is preventing me most of the access from my Xbox account settings.

So these two things are really bugging me and I would love some feedback from either Microsoft. Thank you.

NOTE: I donnot remeber the Parental Microsoft account password becuase it has not been used for so long.

Hi badb92,

From what I understand, your Xbox Live account is a child account, with parental restrictions preventing you from accepting the policy change agreement?

If that is the case, its simply a matter of signing in with the parental account when prompted. To do this, you don't require access to the email address associated to the parental Xbox Live account.

Simply enter in the associated email address and password for your parental account, and you should be good to go.

If you, or your parents/ guardians, have forgotten the password for the parental account, you can reset the password by following these instructions:

support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account-password

Xbox parental email deleted

Ok so my account still has this parental email needed for accepting things such as the terms of service agreements however the email which my Dad uses for his microsoft account has been deleted and we do not remember the password anyway, this means we cannot
recover the password (because the email account has been deleted). Thanks to microsofts amazing support I have no idea how I can change this and for around the last 2 months I have been paying for a service I cannot access. How can I delete this parental email
or change it to a working email account.

Thanks - that's helpful... So I should ignore the following from the Ts and Cs:

1.5. What age do I have to be to use the Services? By using the Services, you represent that you have reached the age of “majority” where you live and agree to be bound by this Agreement or you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor that has an account
associated with yours and you are accepting this Agreement on their behalf. A Microsoft account is necessary to use the Services. You may need to accept other terms of use and provide additional information in order to use your Microsoft account with other
Microsoft services.

To me, the above suggests that if I am accepting on behalf of a minor (which I am) then I should be doing it from my parental account...

I am having a problem where I log in and it prompts me to accept the Microsoft Services Agreement. After accepting it, it sends me to a page requesting that my parent signs in and does so. After my parent signs in, it sends me back to the Microsoft Services
Agreement page but it is still logged in as me. If i click accept, it restarts the loop, again.

This is very interesting to read, because I'm having the same issue with my rewards account, but I have not been traveling between different countries.

For 3 years I'm now collecting rewards point from the same machine and via the same internet provider. I haven't changed any browser settings ore rewards or microsoft account settings. So I have no clue what might have caused a service agreement violation.

For me this looks like a probleme on Microsoft side, because they are not even willing to tell me what causes them to think, that I violated the service agreement and I didn't get any advice on how to prevent this to happen in the future.

I'm very unhappy, that Microsoft doesn't even think of reviewing this issue. This is very bad customer support.

If the parent account downloads the beta into the console then any other account can play it. and yeah, it ticks me off that i cant change false or outdated info.
