    I Have A WD Black P10 2Tb Game Drive It Was Formatted And Had Most Of My Games On It And Outta Nowhere One Day It Just Stopped Connecting To My Xbox One And I Have Tired Everything I Have Even Tried Hooking It Up To A PC And For Some Reason It Wouldn't Show Up On That Either Don't Understand How One Day It Was Working Perfect And Then It Just Stop Reading It All My Games Are Digital And Was On It t And I Had To Result To Redownloading A Couple Game Back To The Internal Drive Of My Xbox Witch I Hate To Do Cause I Bought The Hard Drive To Clear All The Games Off My Internal. I Have Done All Of The Bs That Microsoft Says To Do Like Hard Reset Xbox Tried Another USB Port I Even Order 2 New Cords That Hook From My Hard Drive To The Xbox Thinking Maybe It Was That Nope Wasn't It. It Turns On And Lights Up Just Don't Read It For Some Reason Please Give Me The Help I Need And Hard Resetting And Or Using A Different USB Port Ain't The Answer I Need It Never Helps Thanks Again Also Seen Multiple People With The Same Issue So It Has To Be Something That Xbox done to Make It Where It's Not Being Detected Thanks Again.

    repeated "External storage ready for use"

    I have experienced this issue many times before with my computers and found dust build up can cause faulty communication with electronics. I decided to open my external hard drive hub disconnect all three (3) hard drive's one by one and blew the dust out
    of it, then reconnected my hard drive hub to my Xbox and my read loop stopped, problem solved.

    Try Another USB port or cable

    Same problem here. My Seagate external hard drive blinks for about 5 seconds and then just stops then I get the 'we see your external storage, but the connection is too weak to use' error. It does this on two different xbox ones. Ive swapped out ports, unplugged
    everything, restarted the console. The hard drive works just fine and the blue light stays on when I plug it into my pc. Any solutions here?? and yes my external hard drive plugs into the wall and has a cord that plugs into the usb port.

    thanks for trying to help, however when i turn on my xbox all it does is tries to read something then it stops and then tells me to reinsert my hard drive. i can't use my controller on it for anything. all i can do is send it in for a repair/ new one because
    something is wrong with it internally. my hard drive that i have (250 gb one) is fine. i think it's the 4 gb hard drive inside it that's messed up. i have used my hard drive with my friend's xbox and it works perfectly. nothing wrong at all. I've tried downloading
    the update onto a usb and then using that, but nope. I've tried to reinsert my hard drive multiple times, blowing into it, wiping it, but nothing. And when I take out my hard drive, it tries to read the internal memory and then stops. i might just have to
    call xbox and order a replacement or a repair.
