    Out of Market Error


    Hi

    All has been well with everything, until suddenly about 10 days ago Cloud Gaming started blocking with an “out of market” error, and the same with the Rewards app.

    Error is across Xbox, PC and mobile.

    Bizarrely, GamePass (non cloud) is fine, and it triggers my quests - but I have to go on to mobile network to submit them!

    It’s like different Microsoft teams have used different region verification techniques, and the one GamePass Cloud and Rewards uses isn’t working. If I do an online “where’s my IP” everyone else (including the rest of Microsoft!) can see I’m in the UK!

    Has anyone any idea how to fix this?

    So far have done everything I can think of, but it’s clearly something central in Microsoft when it’s affecting all of Xbox/mobile/PC

    I've posted using the link provided. It's very, very bizarre!

    To summarise:

    All devices and my profile confirmed as being UK

    Everything logged out multiple time, and as far as removing the profiles from XBox. Router reset multiple times, and as such the IP address has now changed several times.

    A little further investigation today suggests that a subset of Microsoft products are all using specific region identification routines which are broken (for me at least!):

    -- GamePass app (XBox) (Gamepass games available for download, but Quests and Cloud report wrong region)

    -- XBox App (Windows) (Cloud gaming - wrong region)

    -- Rewards App (XBox)

    Everything works perfectly where it is possible to bypass apps and use browser (xbox.com/play is perfect in both Edge and Chrome, as is the rewards dashboard).

    So it's the region detection procedures specific to the APPs on xbox, PC and mobile messing up my access rights. These seem to be different to the region detection procedures used by the browser teams, which set all access right perfectly.

    Any further pointers for anything I can do at my end will be greatly appreciated!

    I understand your problem and I know how frustrating it can be.

    First check that the region of the console and the Microsoft account match and are the same as the region where you are physically located.

    Have you checked if you get exactly the same thing connected from another network, for example, using mobile data?

    If the geolocation pages tell you that the IP is in the correct country, it may be a temporary problem with the service, remember that xCloud is a service that is still in beta, so it is important that you report this bug so it can be investigated. You can do so by following the steps in this link:

    Regarding the same problem with Rewards, have you checked if the same thing is happening on the website?

    Also identify by connecting the console to another network and report the problem with Rewards through this link

    Another thing you can try in the console is to change the DNS servers

    Go to your network settings and in advanced options change the DNS to primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4.4.

    Since today on y xbox series x, the microsoft rewards app doesnt work. It says that the service is unavailable. I tried few times to restart my xbox, but no success..
