Our Xbox One apparently uses EXTREME AMOUNTS OF DATA.

We have used the entire months worth of Data (250GB) in 1 week from it's use. Is this common or does it have a problem? Am I really going to have to have 550GB of data in order to use the *** thing? We haven't changed anything else in the house except this
console so it has to be the culprit!

Xbox 360 using internet data

Hi,

Recently, my internet data has been being used up. We get 50gbs of data per month and this month it was used up at about the 20 day mark. My dad claims that it is me that uses all of the internet through playing xbox. This month was the first month that
our data has been used up, and i have had an xbox for years. I have explained this to him, that the amount of time i have spent playing xbox has not increased, and that i don't play online games much anyway. I usually spend around 6-10 hours a week on xbox,
maybe chatting to people for about 2 of those hours. He claims that it is chatting to friends through xbox that uses all of our data. Can anybody confirm this? Does anyone know how much data is used through chatting in parties? thanks.

Reduced Skyrim Textures after 1.4 Patch?

Try clearing your hard drives cache, goto system settings > memory > hit y or x for options, click clear cache. Apparently skyrim uses the cache a lot, so if the cache is full of lots of different games data, it could mess it up. Think of the cache as like
the updates/data for each game you play/load into the console, the fuller it gets the more it could cause problems. this is specific to the skyrim texture issues. some other people noted that having a huge amount of saves could also affect it.

if a couple of games were bought/downloaded then these can cause high use of data.

Games vary from a few GB update 60-70GB.

You can also see the estimated data usuage on the console too at 5.Select Network settings, and then select Bandwidth usage.

It will show the usuage for the last period.

Are you streaming/casting media from a pc or phone to your Xbox? The Xbox does not differentiate between network traffic and actual internet use.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our forums. I understand that you're having unusual readings regarding your data usage on Xbox One. It sounds like you have had this problem with your internet service provider and its now coming out from your Xbox One bandwidth
reports. Have you contacted Comcast themselves to see if it may be some type of error on their end or just a false reading? The amount of data displayed has to be a mistake as there is no possible way that amount of data could have been used by a gaming console
in that amount of time. Please give a few more details regarding the situation in order to be able to best assist you.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The Xbox One X is capable of reaching higher speeds. There are several factors that could impact the amount of data the console receives. There are different categories of ethernet cords. Each one distributes
a different amount of data. The categories include CAT5, CAT5e and CAT6. These are just a few examples of different categories of ethernet cords. The priority of devices in the router can also affect this. In order to discover how to prioritize the Xbox One
X in the router settings, the make and model of the router must be known. An example of this is the Netgear(Make) R9000(Model). Be sure to let us know the results!

Is there a way to transfer the data from the old account to the new one? Our old 360 no longer worked, so we got rid of it and got a new one and are trying to restore it to its previous state.

If it’s possible to transfer the Avatar, achievements and other data that would be perfect, since the child account apparently cannot be used for anything but playing on a 360.
