Our headsets will not work it says its muted and we cant unmute them

1. Turn on your Xbox One, then press the Xbox button in the center of your controller.

2. In the Xbox Guide, scroll to the left once to reach the "Multiplayer" tab, then hit "Party" to expand Party options and features.

3. In your Party, select a person who needs to be unmuted by clicking on their Gamertag, and a dropdown menu will appear.

4. Select "Unmute" and the player will be unmuted and you should be able to hear them in the party.

The problem may be in the game settings they are playing also.

That doesnt work

this is something very technical

has somekne muted them and we cant undo it or does microsoft permanantly mute them if they have been reported too many times for being kids and someone got their feelings hurt?

Is the headset muted try unmuting or trying replugging it in

I need to have my headset connected to the xbox one controller to use the chat on my pc? Even in the start a party beta? Everywhere I have read people said you just need your headset connected to the pc and have the headset and mic set to default in the
playback devices on windows 10. When in the start a party beta I right click on my user profile pic and it says mute. I press mute then right click again, it says unmute. I press unmute and nothing happens. It just keeps saying unmute.
