    Renaming this section of the forum "Xbox One Console and Accessories" didn't help. All we get now are moans and tech issues instead of the good 'ol banter and actual game related threads.

    The forums have always been badly structured and supported, but also the move away from forums to communicate is a massive downer.

    Instead of ignoring a thread / post, some individuals find the need to " name and shame " others, which is against the Code Of Conduct.

    I was raised to be polite and respectful, I hate being mean / rude to others Our Community :)

    I am all for complaints, but MS is not listening here, so you are wasting your time posting. It is like you are walking into a closet and talking to the coat hanger. Also, some seem to think that if there are a couple of threads on a certain topic (such
    as controller failure) that it is widespread and affects the majority of users. If some issue were really widespread (>5% of consumers) then it would be reported all over the gaming media and tech news. Those reporters have great interest in failures as it
    drives clickbait ad revenue, something they all are seeking more of. Also, most people don't realize that when people are happy or satisfied with a product they don't go out of their way to post about it. Only when they are unhappy do they seek out an avenue
    to make their complaints. This skews our perception when coming to a forum like this.

    Certainly not on Twitter, by phone etc.

    It can't be in an email reply because they don't man their email except to send them. Or so they claim. So consumers who wish to complain have no venue in which to do so, so might as well enter a closet and talk to the hangers eh.

    Oh, wait. Reporters.

    Thats where MS will listen. CIP: Dad contacts xbsupport and is told NO, then goes to reporters and gets 5 thousand dollar refund direct from MS.

    So the only way to complain to MS is through the news media, or better yet. Organise a protest rally and invite the media.

    Nah, that won't work. Say, how about Congressional oversite? Perhaps that way everyone will know the true percentages of xbox system/controller failures?

    Nah, Congress can be bought with a bowl of soup.

    So it's either complain here, or a protest rally.

    Which do you think will get results?

  7. I can't help but wonder why you seem to think the Forum Has gone down hill.

    It could be because there are more complaints, or hate threads, ETC as you like to put them, (Any of which could have a valid point), in their own right.

    Please see the Oxford Dictionary Meaning of Forum (dictionary.cambridge.org/.../forum)

    It is a meeting place for people to have discussions. You cannot have a discussion if everybody thought the same and did not have a different opinion. Like mine, a lot of people here will not agree with me on certains ideas, and i have a had a few heated
    debates, Doesn't mean i don't like my X1, (I have 2, 1 for me, and 1 for the boy)

    But first you have to look at the source, the creators of the Forum. Every other Forum i know off gets updated once in a while. It's like Microsoft cannot be bothered with it anymore.

    No gamerscore update for Xbox One (The X1 has only been out for over 2 years, It cannot be that hard to include), No real Mods, little if no real Ambassadors that help in any meaningful way, weeks when the cards just don't have any details, no image posting
    (Most Forums will let you put an image up), And they can't even be bothered to put the page numbers at the top as well as the bottom.

    My opinion is that they have not one single programmer/site manager on this particular part of the system (One that cares about Forums anyway).

    And why would you expect anyone to stay, If anyone has one single thought, bad experience or aspect they have about the X1, they get crucified. No one wants to stay in that.

    If everybody here showed more willing towards helpfulness, you may get some more regulars.

    My thoughts are finished. And i am sure some of you will disagree, and i hope you do. As what would be a Forum without different opinions and different people discussing issues, It would be nothing.

    OR electro...If you are having problems with your xbox one, you could go to the xbox one support forum? Or call the support team? Note: I am not saying those are absolutely going to solve your issues, but you aren't going to get an answer from MS in this
    specific forum. But, please...feel free to waste your time trying to get a direct response...I have yet to see one here in many years.

    Lei Fang don't let that get you down. Who cares if people get upset. I don't hold back. I think games like Halo and Destiny suck. I hate all these 8 bit games. The PS4 has way better graphics and way better exclusives on the way. I couldn't care less if
    people get upset about it. People who get offended deserve to get offended. Lol

    If they get upset about someone they don't know disliking something they like over the Internet, they better check themselves......Nahmsayin.

    To get the best of everything Brand, buy both consoles! Simple.

    I have my Xbox and a Wii U for the kids but will be getting a PS4 for my 'work in progress' man cave.

    For a lot of people, I don't think they're wanting/expecting an official response. They just want to come here and have a good vent, which is fine. Like someone else said, if you don't like people complaining just move on..... Either that or just try and
    have a laugh like a few of us end up doing.

    You can't blame people for getting upset if their console or controller have become defective, it does happen and it's not nice, especially if it was a gift for one of your kids, because nobody likes seeing their child upset because of a faulty product.

    If I had any problems with my X1, I would call support. But I use my 360 10 times more than I do my X1 and have only had the X1 for 2 months so it hasn't been used enough to break down. But that's not the topic being discussed.

    No, the topic is the xbox community and how people who have had problems, whether resolved by support or not, come here to *complain. Which forum regulars hate to see and will often ridicule for even posting.

    *Examples, controller, system, xbl, etc etc. But who's listening? Obviously it isn't MS whom is said. Do not read these threads. So how exactely is Xbox owners to complain about such things if not via the forums?

    They can't do it via an outside source, and if they do find one. It's looked at as clickbait since MS had no hand in it.

    So whats consumers to do?

    If memory serves, back when these forums 1st got going. They were filled with people posting. In fact, it was often so filled with forum goers that a thread posted at 5PM would be a page 3 topic by 5:30 PM the very same day.

    I get the OP. Too many zealous comments on what should be a benign thread. Just need to understand that on forums, tweets, etc..., you r dealing with Anonymous people without oversight. There is a freedom to being that anonymous and jerks will say things
    that they never would to someone in person. Sad to me but gratifying to others. To be that empowered or angry over a video game or console begs intervention. "ITS NOT REAL"!...lol.

    Never, "NEVER", care what some tool on the forums thinks of what you like. Please post more about them... That's what I would do.
