I lost interest in Destiny quite some time ago, but I still go to the forums to take in all the drama. The histrionics are more entertaining than most games I play.

Jokes aside, I love a good multi-sided discussion. What disappoints me is that so many people have forgotten how to respect varied opinions, and can't seem to make an argument without simply attacking others. Most of the time when I see a thread heading
down that road, I tap out. Let the other folks have the last word, since it makes them feel better anyway.

We are looking for members to join our online community. We have different skill level players an several different games. Our goal is to put as mant players in one spot as possible so finding someone to teach you, power level you, or just go out and
dominate with is easy to do. We also trade tips and info with each other. Even if you belong to another clan, we want you to join.

I agree with all of you. I just think that some people argue like this is religious beliefs or political beliefs which is quite sad if this is the only topic you feel so strongly about to argue on.

Sorry but I see very little fanboyism on the forum at the moment, mainly because its so quiet.

I stay out of the destiny thread because I am so bitter and want the people in it to not have to put up with my agro stopping them enjoying their game.

 

There were just as many complaints back a few years ago. This place just wasn't as much of a ghost town so there were other topics to browse through as well.

 

i don't think it's just this community, seems like the gaming community as a whole is going down the tube. growing up, it was all about the love for gaming, now it's for the love of a platform or hate of the other, i think it's exciting time to be a gamer
with all of the amazing experiences just waiting to happen, but it seems that is not what gaming is all about anymore.

 

I am talking about 360 days. Since the xbox one mishaps early on people have become quite toxic about it and honestly the xbox one that launched is completely different from the xbox one now. I own all systems and this hostility is not nearly as bad on
the playstation forums.

 

@ZeroDivided yes alot of comment sections on youtube and twitter are horrible to read and it makes me sad for this upcoming generation. We are all individuals and no one person should ever be scrutinized for making a choice that is out of the norm.

 

If it weren't for complaints etc, the systems and services would be stagnet with not much in the way of improvments at all.

Take for example the complaints about not being able to hide a single. ¨Ready to install¨ demo that you didn't like/deleted and every time you navigate to ready to install there it is like a fly on the wall and you with no fly swatter.

So coming this Feb, finally. A fly swatter!

 

Complaints are perfectly fine but when it turns into whining that for example "black ops is still not back compat and microsoft is lying to us" that is where i tend to have an issue. Having requests to better the system is not the same as a complaint because
someone feels entitled to something. And yest the hide feature is definitely a welcome feature to be using again. I am happy i am in preview to use it now.

 

The community is on life support and failing fast. Self entitlement threads, and constant crying, have been the theme for the last year and grow more prevalent. I don't even bother with the Fallout 4 forums, as six of them on the first page are about not
getting their Fallout 3 code. Instead of whining on a forum, I'll bet most complaints could be taken care of by support...well the complaints that actually make sense. Lol.

I think this actually touches on something that's closer to home than we may give it credit for on the surface.

Gaming is a highly interactive form of entertainment and our consoles are the gateway to it. The more interactive you become with pretty much anything, the more invested you can
become in it.

Some have stated a few times, in these forums, that they can't understand how someone could take criticism of their console choice, or perhaps even a certain game, so personally.
While I tend to agree, I feel we just don't really think about the concept that some can start to feel invested or perhaps even connected (to a limited degree) to their consoles/games, simply because our related experiences can be quite personal.

RPG type games might be a good example. Some of the best ones (IMO) have had many different choices, plot/sub plot story lines, etc. that have strong ethical, political, or religious
themes. It goes hand-in-hand with immersion factor. Our choices determine our experience and that (even within the confines of the game's story) becomes a reflection of our beliefs. For those who are story driven gamers (I am) it can sometimes be hard to draw
a line between 'this forum user slighted or attacked console / game X' for his/her own reasons and 'this forum user attacked something that harbors some of my most memorable experiences or core beliefs'.
