    Our account was used for unauthorized charges for over $600 in Megaladon and Red cash cards, is there a scam involving these currently? How do we know? After looking, there is stuff in our kids GTA, etc that they did not create. We suspect it was a kid that visits our house, but we have no proof of that. We were fortunate to recover the funds through microsoft and having to submit several forms, it took me over 6 hours, but luckily we did get this money back. But we want to know how exactly it was taken before accusing another families kid. The precious known scams involving these cards say that the funds were used on unknown users accounts. That is not the case for us. Our kids could see the new things in their accounts that were created, and that is how we discovered it was happening. So I do not immediately suspect my kids, because they brought it to my attention. THis other kid uses my oldest son's profile when he is over to play, and it all was in his GTA game.

    Hi Kyle, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Someone may have used their accounts in the console. These items can be purchased only if they have access to the account. If these are purchased through Xbox you can definitely create a passkey to prevent this from happening again.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & passkey.

    3. Select Change my sign-in & security preferences.

    4. Scroll right and select Customise.

    5. Scroll right and select Ask for my passkey to make purchases.

    If you are claiming unauthorized charges all payment options are locked till the investigation is over

    Unauthorized access cases are total lock out of an account

    you can use your profile offline but not online when an account is locked

    are you sure its an unauthorized access case or was a unauthorized charges case

    (the last one just means yuou cannot purchase anything till its over)
