Other people see me as offline status while I'm online.

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly make sure that your privacy setting "Others can see if you're online" is set to everyone or friends. To do so, kindly sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings it is under Privacy.

If it's already set to "everyone" kindly switch it to "block" and then submit, after that switch to everyone or friends again and then submit.

Once you have the changes, perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

I am that careful with my own system. There were many times I let players who achieved high # of K & low # of D passed because they played it legit. I tend to be very observant of their actions while playing, the ways they performed against other players,
how fast they were doing, how quick they're racking up kills in the shortest amount of time (and getting way ahead of every other player).

The most consistent thing I've observed from cheating players is when I'm checking their gamer profiles and noticed "Offline" status, despite the fact they were still playing online with me and other players. I asked another pro player (who have been playing
Halo for longer than I do) is that usual or unusual for a player who have "Offline" status while still playing online in Halo? He said it is unusual. Is it possible for players to be "offline" while still playing online? Please enlighten me on this.

hey did you ever get his figured out? I'm having th same issue. I've removed my account and re added it. Signed in/out. I've cleared my cache, cleared the alternate MAC address, reset my router. I cannot access privacy settings to check them because along
with this issue im having a never ending load screen when I try to access my privacy settings. Sometimes hard resetting my console works but the issue will always come back. I haven't been able to access privacy settings or about 2 weeks now.

Try removing your account from the Xbox One console and re-downloading it to see if that helps out. Also, are you using the latest dashboard update?

Your reputation won't change if you play entirely offline.

There is no one to rate you so it won't go down and the rating system is for online behaviour so it won't go back up while offline otherwise people would exploit it and just play offline until they got good status back before going back online.
