    OTA Tuner Skipping Frames


    I have an issue with my OTA tuner skipping frames maybe once every 15-30 seconds. It's quite annoying.

    When I run the antenna directly into my televisions OTA tuner, I don't see the problem and the skipping is absent.

    Anyone else have this problem and if so did you find a fix?

    I have an issue with my OTA tuner skipping frames maybe once every 15-30 seconds. It's quite annoying.

    When I run the antenna directly into my televisions OTA tuner, I don't see the problem and the skipping is absent - so I don't think it has anything to do with my signal strength. It seems to happen on both nearby stations and far away. I wonder if it
    has something to do with the autopause/rewind function and buffering what you are watching on the external HDD (or maybe for this it uses the internal?).

    Anyone else have this problem and if so did you find a fix?

    OTA Tuner Skipping Frames

    I played around last evening and it does have something to do with hard drive playback. When I turn live pause off there is no stutter at all. When I have live pause setting on, I get a subtle skip/jitter or lost frame a couple times a minute. Its annoying
    on football and sports.

    Maybe this minor glitch has delayed the DVR implementation? Wasn't that supposed to be end of last year?

    Search Google for similar issues. If that doesn't help, then I would try exchanging it for a different one to see if that makes a difference.
