OS update, unformatted HDD even i did it one week ago

Hello

My problem with the (Xbox360)consol is looking like this:

Everything was ok until one day when i turn on my xbox and i had to update my system but when i accepted the request, system told me that i dont heve enought storage (even i had it before)so i went to settings. I saw unformatted hard drive. I was surprised
because I thought I have done it some time ago.

I have formatted my disk(ofc I lost all data) and I installed system update. That was about one week ago.

Today when I turn on my consol i had communique about system update again and I have not enough storage to instal it again and I have unformatted hard drive again even i did it week ago….

About 12 hours ago everything was ok and This is 3rd time when I must format my disk because I have to update my OS.

PS: After last update I played only in one game so im so sure I have or I had (because my hard drive is unformatted from some reason) enough disk space especially since I have 250GB HDD

and if i will change a HDD will it help me or maybe it is a problem with the console?

Same this happens to me! 250g unformatted after update. It a " microsoft-branded HDD" its this update that corrupted our hdd !

 

July Xbox One update

The July update was released weeks ago. Check your OS version it should be 1407.

If in the preview program your OS will be 1408.

when a hard drive fails the console will think an update is needed, since it can't find the recent update. Since this has been happening several times it does seem to be a failing hard drive that needs replacing, like mentioned by EggsBoxJuan.
