Origins mode - extra 30 seconds not added

After I updated the app to the latest version, the 2 new Origins pack (Arch & Cascade) are available. However, the feature where we can watch a commercial to get an extra of 30 seconds is no longer working. The commercial will not load and the 30 seconds
will not be added.

This is okay for 15 of the 16 new levels. However, for Arch #8 it is a big problem because it is virtually impossible to score 3 stars on it, as we'd need to complete the level in 2:45 with the gigantic final 5th board having 400-500 tiles, and it already
takes a very lucky run to finish the first 4 boards in 2 minutes.

In fact even with the extra 30 seconds it's still a huge challenge to finish the level in 3:15. It took me 4 tries to get the 2 stars on this level, while I've finished all other levels with 3 stars mostly in the very first try (that's except the infamous Terra
#7, but that's another story). Currently stuck on 185 out of a possible 186 stars, and feeling very frustrated. :-(

Taptiles problems - we need your help!

I am running Windows 8.1 on an HP laptop and an Asus laptop. I get the same problem on both computers. For several days in both the Daily Challenge games and the Origins games the advertising would sometimes run or sometimes would go to a black screen
from which I couldn't play the game. It sometimes worked after relaunching taptiles several times.

As of yesterday the advertising does not run before a game. This is okay in the Daily Challenge games, but in the Origins games the I click on the 'Continue' button to get 30 seconds extra on the clock, but the game starts without the advertising running.
Therefore the extra 30 seconds doesn't get added on to the clock.

If you can't fix this problem then how about just automatically adding an extra 30 seconds onto the clock when the game starts?

 

what's with taptiles?

I have been playing taptiles for a few weeks now. A few days ago it would not let me play "dash". Today I tried to play some of the daily challenges and it keeps saying "try again" and just keeps going in a loop. Also, it hardly ever lets me earn an
extra 30 seconds to play the origins for a higher score. Has anyone had this happen? Microsoft, help!

 

Are you able to watch the ad, and it's just not crediting the bonus time, or does the ad not play at all?

 

Hi BarbarossaBlade, thanks for replying. The ad doesn't play at all, the screen just goes blank for half a second. Needless to say no bonus time is credited at all. :-(

I have had this problem for awhile also, and without a touch screen (mouse play), I sure need those 30 seconds. My screen going black for 10 to 15 seconds with a loading icon then the game will start. Hope you get it fixed soon. Thanks

I have the same problem. The ad does not show up, I will not get extra time.

 

Does no one really did not able to advise you on how your ad may be looking at more time? Notebook PC does not have a touch screen, so further time is needed. I have not blocked the settings of your ads.

 

Furthermore, I can not get an extra 30 seconds.

 

The team is aware of this, and is investigating.
