originalxbox360 no hard drive update problem error 4174-417F-2680-0F00-C000-0034

my xbox360 original that I use a flash drive for the memory said it needed an update, I downloaded the update from xboxlive and it seemed to be working and restarted for installation but then I got this error- System Update Stopped-4174-417F-2680-0F00-C000-0034.
I kept trying and no different so I reformatted the usb drive to download that way but I don't think I put the file on right. I am on windows 8 and winzip- I unzipped to pc but the file is only showing 150.46mb (original download is 109.73mb) so I am not
sure if it really is unzipped. I tried transferring this to both a cd and usb drive but when I restart the xbox, it says update in progress and then goes back to the error page. I can not get to the dashboard at all to try anything there. Any Advice?

Xbox update error

hi somebody can help me with this error 4174-417F-2780-0F00-C000-0034 I get the update and then when it was installing it get frozen and send that error status

Hi guys im back on my xbox 360. so i turn on the xbox and she start doing a download of the new update, and now i go this mensage

Cant read the update from your storage device . Please reinsert it to continue the update

Status code: 4174-417F-2780-0F00-C000-0034

anyone have any solution?

I finally got it to work. I found a youtube video-

where a guy shows how to make sure you have the right update and was helpful getting me through this. I did try disk and usb but winzip in windows 8 is confusing. Even though I unzipped and did a unzip to pc, the file was going back to original so that is
why it couldn't work. I did find that once I got the file right, I was able to get into the dashboard to go from there. It made me format my usb in the xbox and download directly through the console hooked to my router. I had to start over as a new user and
do all the setups and additional downloads. Once I was able to sign in to my xbox live account, I was able to re-download the optional media update to be able to play videos/mp4 again. I see a lot of changes to the dashboard so maybe an old original xbox360
like mine without hard drive had to start over to be able to get all the changes.

I followed steps as mentioned, now I see this:

Just tried the USB drive, it downloaded the update-console restarted and following error displayed, (3CD6-3F45-2680-0F00-C000) cannot get past this screen.

No luck with downloading to the flash drive either, and i'm greeted with the error code of: 4174-417F-1680-267F-C000-0185.
