Original Xbox won't work on new TV - please help!

Can anyone help with an issue with original Xbox? I have all three generation of Xbox (recently acquired original Xbox for nostalgia purposes). The problem is, the original Xbox is not working on either of my TV's. Both are late model HD TV's. It worked
briefly but then fizzled out (using original AVI connectors). I did some research and found that this is a common problem. The solution is an AVI to HDMI converter; these are USB powered and convert the analogue signal to digital. Found one on eBay, plugged
it in, SUCCESS worked fine. But once again, it worked briefly but now no picture. I got this old Xbox from a friend and it worked fine so I doubt it is the video cable. Has anyone had similar issues and come to a solution? Any help would be much appreciated.

Xbox broken?

My Xbox One is not working properly. When connected to my TV, the display is not the right size no matter what setting I change my TV to. Please help!

new media remote not working

Ok I did all that and Mine still won't work and it has worked in the past many times.. has there been updates that my old Original Media Remote won't work with Xbox anymore..?? but works fine with TV

You can buy Component video cables for these xboxes, which run the red/green/blue cables for video signal (instead of just yellow composite cable) and the standard red and white for audio, it allows much better resolution on your newer TV (even with your
hdmi converter). I found a component cable for as little as $11 posted on ebay.

Something to try with no cable swaps is making sure the TV and Xbox are set to the same 50z setting (I think it's 50hz for PAL Xboxes).

I had a bodgy AV cord on my original xbox that only made a signal if I put a slight amount of force on the cord just where it comes out of the Xbox.

You should also be able to get a controller port to USB adapter to power your HDMI converter.

Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.

Troubleshoot blank screen on xbox has further steps to assist you.

If the console works on a different TV it sounds like new TV has a problem or it's the connection between the console and new TV.

Try the original cable that came with the console.

Are you using a AVReceiver between console and TV?

Are you using ARC HDMI cable?

Does not look like this title will work with the Xbox 360. Please check the following page which has a list of compatible titles: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-games/play-original-games

If the game isn't on that list it likely won't work on your Xbox 360. Hope this helps.
