    Original XBOX to XBOX 360 controller adapter?


    Hello everyone.

    I have a steering wheel controller for the original Xbox, but I have an Xbox 360. I wonder if there is a way to connect the steering wheel to the 360? I know there are adapters from original Xbox to USB for PC but, would they work for the 360? Would I need
    drivers or is it even possible to install drivers on the Xbox 360?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    It's not just that. The original XBOX controller is essentially a USB hub with three downstream devices - two MU slots
    and the controller itself.



    Not sure why he'd want to use a 360 controller with an original XBOX. S-type XBOX controllers are pretty common and less expensive than a wired 360 controller.

    Erm..........don't think that's possible, certainly not possible to install drivers onto the 360.

    The best thing to do is google the name of your steering wheel and see if there is an adapter for it. You never know, you might get lucky.

    Xbox 360 controller

    The original Xbox 360 controllers do not support traditional Bluetooth and as such won't pair. To pair a Xbox 360 controller you will need to purchase an adapter that you plug into your PC. The official one, I believe, can still be ordered on Amazon.

    If you want to just straight up pair a controller to a PC without the need for an adapter, recent Xbox One controllers use normal Bluetooth and would pair without issue - https://www.pcgamer.com/xbox-one-controller-on-pc/ will
    tell you how to spot which ones will support this as the original Xbox One controllers don't.

    Unfortunately, the original Xbox (for which the adapter is made for) and the Xbox 360 have different connectors. So you can't use the RFU adapter on the Xbox 360.

    XBox 360 Wireless PC Controller disconnects after 10 minutes of play

    Hey MaximusRaskin! Are you using the original wireless adapter? I would suggest trying the 360 controller on an Xbox 360 console to see if it will work for longer than 10 minutes. If it does I would suggest trying a new Xbox 360 for Windows Wireless Adapter
    to see if that will resolve your issue. Please post back and let me know how these steps go.
