Customer support can’t offer additional switches. If you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year and need assistance, select Help when you see the message Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception. If you don't see a survey, all you can do is wait for the limit to reset on its own.

That’s great and all if I were one of those people who were abusing the rights to my own games, but unfortunately the assistance here on Microsoft are the ones that told me to switch back-and-forth multiple times. I listened to the advice of Microsoft and lost all my switches. So again, it still makes no sense as to why I would have no switches. Are you’re telling me that I have to use an Xbox that I no longer own? Isn’t the point of purchasing a brand new consul to get the most updated software? Moreover if you sell that device because you don’t need it, or didn’t think that you needed it anymore, how am I to even go and share their games or play them if I don’t have the Xbox home whatsoever anymore, because the console that it’s on is no longer in my possession? It’s not like I went out and bought the devices (as easy as it is right now to get and series s or x lol) just hoping for an additional switch. Lol I actually didn’t even know I had reached 5. But either way if ANYONE purchases a new console you should be granted another switch so as to use the most new consoles......because that is why get the newest and most recent console...... to get the most out of it that you can and use it to its full potential. Not buy the new console and keep it in a box and keep using old technology. It’s obsolete.

there is no way around it, 5 switches per year is more than enough, the limit is there to stop abuse. you can have one console as the home console that everyone else can use the stuff on that console, then you have to be signed in on the other to use content you own but only yourself.

buying another console does not give more switches, you will have to wait like everyone else would have too.

The main account owns all games. The is owned digitally.... so it will on any console. I have a 5 tb external for storage and can move to any console I so choose.

You are correct I would not be switching up the time is near but fortunately I am mostly set up on Xbox I have no idea how it work and I contacted Xbox I followed their direction which didn’t work the way they said. I called back the next assistant that helped me told me to make the other Xbox the home one and this happened probably 4 times and that’s the best help provided y Microsoft Xbox and I use it all up within a week ......... so yeah you your right it should be that they are all used up. But what can I do about it??? Even after purchasing a brand new console @ $400 I still am not awarded an additional switch ..... THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!

I like to know why and how to get around it or how it can be fixed.
