Discus and support Original Xbox power cord recall in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I recently started playing some classics on my original Xbox, and when I plugged the power cord into the back of the system it made a sparking noise....     Original Xbox power cord recall


    I recently started playing some classics on my original Xbox, and when I plugged the power cord into the back of the system it made a sparking noise.

    After investigating online I found out that the power cord was recalled by Microsoft in the early consoles. Anyone know if Xbox will still send me a replacement cord as it is a safety issue due to the possibility of fire?

    I took a quick look on eBay and they're being sold for around $10 or less in some cases.

    I don't believe they carry parts for those systems anymore. However, if you try your local pawn shops you may find what you're looking for.

    The link Xbox had for the replacement is gone. I think I’ll just try calling Xbox support. Thanks for sending the article though.
