Original Xbox One : Won't Power On

A little while ago, I posted here regarding my Xbox One X failing, and not outputting any video over HDMI. It was sent to Microsoft over a week ago and am still waiting for it back.

In the mean time, I purchased a faulty original Xbox One off eBay. Faulty in that it would turn on for a few seconds then turn off. Researching this problem, I found a common resolution in that replacing a capacitor inside the PSU would fix it. I happened
to have the exact capacitor so I went and bid on the Xbox. I also found several other fixes which I figured I'd try as well. NOTHING HAS WORKED!!!!

Symptoms:

Turn Xbox One on, chimes on, NO power light, PSU LED goes white, chimes off, PSU LED goes orange, audible click of HDD powering off (or)

Turn Xbox One on, chimes on, power light, PSU LED goes white, chimes off, PSU LED goes orange, audible click of HDD powering off

I capitalised the last entry as it was the last thing I've done and was also the most likely to FIX IT. I've watched countless videos on YouTube of Xbox Ones with this problem, with my symptoms being 100% identical to those on YouTube but nothing that they
did to fix it... especially the cap and total PSU replacement... has worked for me, which is quite typical when I try to fix something.

Of all the components on the motherboard (other than the CPU/GPU/RAM) what will cause this power problem, seeing as the PSU is, for some reason, NOT the issue here? Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Parity : I kinda figured as much, I might try to buy a working motherboard for as cheap as possible... like, really cheap.

ArminatorX : Annoyingly the previous owner had already opened it, presumably to attempt a repair themselves, unfortunately with very little success. I probably wouldn't have sent it to Microsoft anyway just because it's an older console
and I'm still waiting for my X to be returned. This was more of a "project console" to see if I could get it working, but it's defeated me.

Unfortunately, here in the official Xbox forums we can't give instructions for any self repair attempts.

Since you already opened the console yourself, you also can't send the console to Microsoft for repairs anymore.

So the only solution we can officially offer here is to go out and buy a new console, I'm afraid.

Maybe other forums that specialize in console repair might be more able to help you. But in this official Xbox forum, buying a new console is the solution to your problem.

Sorry for the issue with your console. As mentioned previously any self repair is not allowed on the forums. You will need to purchase a new console. As for this I will be locking this thread as there is no other answer in this situation.
