original xbox one unplug xbox to play games

for me to play any game i have to unplug my xbox if i dont all i get is this game has taken to long please try again it does it for all my games unless i unplug it, wait 15 secs, then plug back in, turn on, then it works just fine its all updated and every
thing any one know how to fix?

Xbox original game

Hi there,

do you have an official Xbox 360 Hard drive? Because one is needed to be able to play an xbox original game.

Jade Empire for the marketplace will not play

Hey there

To play original xbox games on the xbox 360 you need to have a harddrive to play them. I would belive you already have one but just had to post it in case.

Try holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it turns off. Turn it back on and try again.

I unplug my console after every use anyway. I always have with every console.

Sorry for the late reply.

Its an original xbox one and unplugging it was the first thing I did.

I even went as far as to unplug it overnight and as I have already mentioned I have cleaned it thoroughly.

We have 2 original Xbox ones and a Xbox one S. This one xbox is the only one showing this fault

An Xbox 360 game will always be an Xbox 360 game whether it is played on the Xbox 360 or an Xbox One through backward compatibility, same with original Xbox games. They were developed to play on one console. It's only through the magic of back compat they
play on the One. They are still Xbox 360 and original Xbox games to me.

Do you have an official Xbox HDD installed? You need this in order to play the original Xbox games that are supported. You can read all about playing Original Xbox games and which ones are supported here:
