Original Xbox One stuck on "Applying Update" during the Offline System Update

    Hello!

So, I've been having a loooot of trouble with my Xbox One for the past few weeks. It would take an eternity for the green loading screen to show up, then 2 more eternities for the freakin dashboard to show up. (Turns out I had energy saving mode on. whoop-de-do).
However, I would eventually get to play. But about 2-4 hours into playing a game it would freeze. I factory reset it TWICE and alas, it still freezes. I went to the Xbox Support page and read all that jazz and started the Offline System Update. Well, I get
to the "Applying Update" section and it freezes. 'Cause of course it does. It says at the bottom "Step 3 of 3: Applying update (66%)" and the total update percentage is 86%. I patiently waited 4. Freaking. Hours. And it was STILL FROZEN. So I soft reset it
and tried again. STILL FREAKING FROZEN. Microsoft, I love you, and I have always been an Xbox bucko, but everywhere I have read, it's the same responses that do not work. So many people are having this issue, but it doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. I
can't afford a new Xbox One nor can I afford to get mine serviced. If there's anything I can do, please help me.

    Warmest regards,

    Lunar

    :)
