Original XBOX One game disc no longer working

Totally understand, however, if we have is a physical disc game, we can only use the disc itself which leads us to not being able to transfer it digitally or play it digitally unless we re-purchase the digital version of the game.

I have checked the warranty concern for discs and I was able to find that if this is happening with just a specific game it says "Contact the retailer where the disc was purchased to ask about their replacement policy.". I got you the link: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/...

I apologize but there is no option to exchange a physical license for a digital license for a game. The only option will be if we will purchase the game digitally.

If the game crashes we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

Kindly perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

This problem is not Console related, as already indicated. Other games do work fine.

Nevertheless, I tried your proposed solution but obviously this doesn't help...

Is there no warranty on the game discs? I can prove I have purchased it, and it is installed on my XBOX, so I do clearly have an original copy... I'm also sure MS can read out the license key if they want to...

I'm not asking for a free game, just my originally purchased xbox game to work again... I already paid for it...

And in the license agreement there is no statement you can only play the game once

By OG Xbox are you referring to the one released in 2001? I ask because the Xbox 360 version of the game is backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

Does the disc have the original Xbox writing on the label on front?

If you have other games that work, then the issue could be with the console's disc drive although the original Xbox is no longer supported.

It's a backwards compatible game, but it can no longer be purchased digitally, it can only be played from an Xbox 360 disc version of the game. If you've got a Series S and originally had this game on disc I'm afraid it won't work, as your console doesn't have a disc drive.
