    I've been a PC Game Pass user for over a year, got a pop up about GP Ultimate allowing cloud gaming, wanted to try.

    I have an older X1 controller I bought for PC, it has an audio jack and connects via wireless dongle or cable (not the OG X1, but not the X1S w/ BT either).

    My phone supports OTG, but when I connect the controller it only flashes and vibrates once and the "xCloud" doesn't take input from it.

    However when using an App called Moonlight, which enables game streaming via Nvidia GeForce Experience from PC to Android, the controller works when connected via cable! This means that the Moonlight App has the necessary drivers for this controller.

    How come the official Microsoft App doesn't have them? Can they be added?

    Anyone knows of another way how I could get the controller to work on my phone? (Xiaomi Mi 9T, Android 10)

    That's fair enough; If you're getting the Series X, that controller will do the trick so would be a bit silly getting another one right now.

    You're best bet is to get a controller that has Bluetooth. The newest Xbox controllers now all have this.

    there is NO excuse for no backwards compatibility, all is needed is a good emulator. look at how many arcade games M.A.M.E. supports. and these arcade games run on many diffrent motherboards. there are even emulator apps on Android.

    and as far as controllers go ( i have the drum rocker for rockband) all they need are the drivers for Xbox One.

    Then open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and select Bluetooth.

    Click on the Controller to pair it with your device.

    Note: if you have to purchase to game for your iPhone so first you need to check controller supported device.

    If you’ve Jailbroken it, you can also try installing the “drivers for all” Cydia controller. It will allow the driver as MFi, as the controller function 4 Sony PlayStation activated as an MFi controller.

    If you have an OTG cable, using that you can be connected 360 to an Android tablet with a wired Xbox Control standard, too. You can use this cable Buy elsewhere for only a few dollars on Amazon. Also the same type of cable allows you to use other USB devices
    such as USB flash drives with your phone or tablet.
