    Original Xbox not connecting to Xbox Live


    I was recently gifted an original Xbox. It seems to be working great, except I cannot get it to connect to Xbox Live.

    When I run a test of the connection, here's what I get:

    Cable connected

    Receives correct IP address info

    DNS resolved

    Xbox Live not found

    For troubleshooting, it says to check to make sure that the MTU size is greater than 1365 on the router. I have a Charter (Spectrum) Internet modem/router. I don't have administrative access to their device. My firewall has it's default of 1500 in place.
    If I hook a laptop up to this connection, it works just fine.

    Xbox live is not working on XBOX Classic

    Live for the original Xbox was shut down years ago. It's no longer possible to connect on an original Xbox.

    As previously stated, the Original Xbox cannot be connected to Xbox Live as of 2010, however you can connect via Xbox connect (http://www.xbconnect.com/ *)

    Live has been shut down for the original Xbox so it will no longer connect. Only a Xbox 360 or Xbox One will connect.

    Is there a way to get more security for the original xbox console from 2001?

    Since original Xbox Live and the original Xbox store are offline, there is no reason to connect it to the internet, and the likelyhood of any security issues is virtually nonexistent
