Original Xbox Games should be backwards compatible as well

I have so many original Xbox games that I played on my Xbox 360. I hope Microsoft works to make these backwards compatible as well. I love playing the Simpsons Hit & Run.

The original Xbox also had Shenmue 2, Street Fighter Anniversary Edition, Capcom Classics Collection, SSX 3, Ninja Gaiden, Outrun, ESPN 2K5, Midway Arcade Treasures, Crimson Skies, Counter Strike, Unreal Championship 2.

Emulation may be even easier than the Xbox 360 since the original Xbox and Xbox One both use x86 chips.

x1 owners who never owned a 360 benefit of backwards compatibility.

They should make the original Xbox games backwards compatible as well.

I know that me personally I have a lot of original Xbox games that I wish were backwards compatible as well as a few 360 games that havnt became backwards compatible so honestly any original Xbox game they made backward compatible would be fine by me.

 

That would be really cool... To have OG Xbox games on Xbox One with full Xbox Live support again.

But i found the backwards capability experience on Xbox 360 to be frustrating at times. As the Xbox controller was different than the Xbox 360 controller. I will just play my OG Xbox games on my OG Xbox.

Dont forget Bruce Lee Quest of the Dragon! Or Freedom Fighters, Dead or Alive 3 and so on

You are absolutely right and I would kill to be able to add Enclave and Oddworld:Strangers Wrath to my XB1 library. I support your request 100 billion billion times.

Please Miscrosoft consider this possibility.

 

The BC between Xbox and the 360 was horrible...... I wouldn't even imagine throwing the X1 into the mix.....

 

Yes, that would be awesome, make sure to send that request to Phil Spencer and the other Xbox team.

I totally forgot about Mech Assault! That was such a fun game as well. Enclave and Oddworld would be incredible.

 

I would love to play pgr 2, ghost recons, rainbow 6 and midtown madness 3 amongst many others.

 

It would be awesome if I could play KOTOR and KOTOR 2 again on the One.

 

If they could add a hard drive to the virtual 360 then I imagine backward compatibility for the original Xbox would work once the correct files were added to it.

 

This is a likely scenario if there's enough demand, old x86 to new x86 would not be a challenge.

 

Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell Original Xbox) would love to be on the Xbox One.

While I do agree with allowing Original Xbox games to play on the X1, as well as 360 games. If I remember correctly there were only a small portion of OX games that would play on the 360. As M actually thought Sony had stopped going BC wihen the 2 USB ported
PS3's hit the shelves.

I have a ton of OX games but because my HDD isn't an 'Officially licenced' HDD - My 360 will not play them, so If they do go BC with the X1 all the way back to OX, (That would be awsome) then they need to remove that requirment not only for the X1, but for
the 360 as well. And also add a substancial number of OX games they never got around to before, into the mix.

Good thing I am not running Microsofts Xbox division or I would throw anything and everything into it - Including FREE VON Phone services with unlimited calling and close prox cell phone connection, whether the cell phone had a calling/texting plan or not.

How cool would that be?
