Original xbox games on xbox 360 slim

Hi, I'm not big into video games, but I'm trying to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the original xbox on my xbox 360 slim and its not working. I've read that the game works for xbox 360, I've downloaded the system update for the xbox 360, and I bought a
refurbished 120 GB HDD from Gamestop to use. Can anyone tell me why it's still not working?

Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

@hassassinade, do you mean by 3rd party is the xbox S 360 or the slim. i do have the original xbox 360 when it first came out, so i'll do that and see what happens. if i have the original xbox disc, will it work on the xbox slim or the original xbox 360

 

The most common reason a backwards compatible game doesn't work is the hard drive. If you can, try testing another compatible game. Unless you buy a hard drive brand new, it's hard to tell if the hard drive is actually an MS brand hard drive or if someone
switched it out or something.
