    Original Xbox game won't play on xbox 360 s


    I recently purchased a hard drive to play the original halo but I got the error message the game couldn't start, try downloading the game again. I have read many forums and my guess is that the problem is that my hard drive is a third party hard drive but
    in storage settings there is a microsoft logo next to it, I have tried clearing the system cache and formatting it but it did not work, please tell me if you have any idea how to fix this, thanks.

    Why do I need to download a X360 game on my XOne, when I already have the disc?

    I mean, I don't want to have to setup my Xbox 360 again to play some of these older games. Like the Original Xbox games work on my 360, but my 360 game discs won't work on my Xbox one, I have to download it which I cannot do, as not EVERYONE has unlimited
    100mb/s internet plans.

    Hi, fake drives have the microsoft logo in the the storage settings too. Check the packaging it arrived in. If it doesn't look official, then it's probably fake.

    unless you have the certain equipment to play original xbox games on the 360 s there is no way to play the original games

    The Xbox 360 S isn't compatible with playing original xbox games. I use the Xbox 360 Pro, (60gb I think) and works like a charm on there.

    It's a backwards compatible game, but it can no longer be purchased digitally, it can only be played from an Xbox 360 disc version of the game. If you've got a Series S and originally had this game on disc I'm afraid it won't work, as your console doesn't have a disc drive.
