    So recently I have been collecting original xbox games and accessories and looking up how to maintain an original xbox so it will last longer and was presently surprised when I found out my xbox despite being the default black console may actually be rarer
    than it apears for it houses a Hitachi DD unlike other models the 480p glitch doesnt happen with any of the games that were stated to have it such as gunvalkyrie it was made in 05/23/2005 and still runs great the only game i had a issue with was mortal kombat
    Armageddon wouldn't display properly at 720p I think my xbox motherboard maybe a 1.6b but not sure. I'm looking to start a little original xbox community where we can talk about our consoles and games we own so we can help each other with questions about our
    consoles and games or just talk about our favorite original xbox games and maybe even give advice on how to keep our consoles up and running. Any one interested. Original Xbox Console forum? :)

    Look at the list provided in the link that Stuart posted, that will tell you which games can even be played on the 360 to begin with. When you put in a game that is backward compatible you will immediately get an update download, once that is done everything
    should be fine. If a game is not on that list it is not be playable on your 360. Another thing to note as mentioned in the link is that if you only have a 4GB 360 Slim you will have to buy a microsoft licensed hard drive because that is the only thing that
    will have the emulator programs needed to play original xbox games

    Just to clarify, is this an Xbox ORIGINAL?

    (the original Xbox with the giant X on the console with the eject and power button above one another on the front of the console?)

    Can you clarify (Is this a 360 or Original console)

    Because if that is the case and this is an Original console, there is a Manual release button in front of the console.

    On the Right side of the disc tray, next to the eject button there is a small hole. Input a paper clip or similar item to manually eject the disc (make sure console is not plugged in).

    Please let me know if that works!
