Original Xbox Call of Duty retrocompatibility porting to Xbox One & Xbox Series S/X

Can we please get the remaining original Call of Duty games retro-compatibility ported to the Xbox One & Xbox Series S/X? The Call of Duty games that are still missing in the Microsoft Store for the previously mentioned Xbox consoles include "Call of Duty: Finest Hour" (released for the Original Xbox in 2004), "Call of Duty 2: Big Red One" (released for the Original Xbox in 2005), and "Call of Duty: Classic" (released for the Xbox 360 in 2009).

I can understand the issues with retro-compatibility porting Call of Duty games that were previously exclusives to PC or other consoles. If at all possible it would be amazing to get the expansion to the first Call of Duty game released - "Call of Duty: United Offensive" (released for PC in 2004) or the PlayStation exclusive "Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts (released for the PlayStation 2 in 2008). I would ask that the first Call of Duty game - "Call of Duty" (released for PC in 2003) be ported as well but you already did this by releasing the aforementioned "Call of Duty: Classic" for the Xbox 360. 3 of the 5 games I am requesting retro-compatibility porting for the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X are previous releases on your older Xbox consoles ie. the Original Xbox and Xbox 360.

Aside from the better specs, the huge backwards compatible library of games makes the Xbox consoles far superior to the competition in my opinion and I am able to easily play games from the early 2000's to current games in seconds on the same console, which I love. The Xbox Series consoles also allow me to map the controls for some of the older games before the age of sensible button scheme layouts making them more enjoyable and playable. Please continue to expand on your retro-compatibility porting to these latest Xbox Consoles. I appreciate all the games you have ported so far!

kind of, each game has a specific setup with its own emulator so it runs ok, when you insert a BC game disc it actually downloads the entire game with the custom setup Emulator for that particular title.

Thank you for the clarification! So the emulators used are encompassing several old games or a list of chosen designated games correct? This is why no more games are being made compatible because a new emulator would need to be established that includes whichever new games may get to be added?

Or does each game have it's own emulator making it playable on new consoles?

all depends on the developer/publisher if they decide to remake the game then that will be the only way to play them on newer hardware. none of the games were ported as such, they just get wrapped in an emulator and then this allowed them to play on the xbox one etc.

I’m sorry but after the final batch last fall no new titles will be added to backwards compatibility.

Thank you for the update! In regards to not adding any new backwards compatible titles to the new Xbox consoles, is this a permanent decision or is there any possibility in the future to expand the backwards compatibility library of games? Does this also mean that older console Xbox games will only be remastered/remade for the Xbox Series consoles as opposed to porting over?
