Original xbox backward support

hi

just wondering if the backward support for Xbox games, on Xbox one will be region free.

e.g. Will a pal Xbox one console, read "ntsc" Xbox disc.

They stopped making games backwards compatible in 2007 and all support for original xbox games ended last year.

All support for original Xbox games was discontinued in 2010 and they stopped adding to the backwards compatibility list in 2007.

 

we still dont know much about backwards compatibility for original xbox games, if i was to take a guess the region restrictions would still apply as the contracts and licences agreed to all those years ago when the games were published are still valid to
this day

 

The only stuff we know so far about Original Xbox backward compatibility was whatever was shown at E3, and that it will be available

later this fall.

Technical details like NTSC/PAL compatibility will be ironed out later. Anything anybody can provide now is just speculation and guessing.
