Original Xbox 360 file transfer

I have an Original Xbox 360, I want to replace HDD with larger capacity drive, I have the transfer cable, the newer drive, but I need the software disc that should have accompanied the cable. it is not available on Amazon, Ebay, nor the MS Store. Before
anyone suggests the alternate route of tediously copying files to a flash drive, along with the Player ID etc etc, save your fingers. Can I get the disc somewhere, or a download of the file transfer software?

Transfer files from pc to xbox

Hello. I need help with my XBOX 360 SE.

I have few games on my computer and want to transfer those games on XBOX. How can I do that. I've looked over Google and many suggested to transfer files via FTP. I tried transferring files via FTP but nothing happens. FTP client on computer doesn't connect to XBOX's IP Address. Anywho, how can I transfer the files on XBOX from computer.

Note: I haven't moded my XBOX. It's original.

With the Transfer Cable, you get the option to Move an original XBOX save file to another HDD.



USB MUs cannot store original XBOX save game files.

They used a slim in that video. Perhaps if they had used an Orig White Case Xbox 360, the results would have mirrored mine. w/o the required software disc, it will not recognize the old drive when attached, and does NOT flashup a Transfer menu as suggested
in that dialogue from Support. I would hope an MS Tech would assist in this particular forum.

 

Hey there -

Is your Xbox 360 console updated to the latest console version? If the console is fully updated, that transfer screen should pop up. If it's not, unfortunately using a flash drive will be the only alternative to transfer content between consoles.

I followed the Support page suggestion of checking my Network/Live connection to ensure there were no updates that my XBox Pro w/ Jasper motherboard might have missed. The test indicated that it was up-to-date. I did find some dedicated Gamer sites, one
of which listed a download of XPlorer( in several different numerical versions) which I believe is the software I am seeking.
