    Hello everyone,

    These last two days my original Xbox 360 has been having a plethora of problems. First I could play for about 5 minutes before my Xbox 360 crashed or froze (have no idea what happened). The screen on my TV instantly got these weird lines, that look like
    the screen might be broken and the sound popped. This usually happens when I get the 3 light RROD, which happened a lot, but it worked fine for a while after I used the Q-Tip trick. So then I cleared the cache ( don't have a hard drive, just two flash drives),
    and the console crashed as I hit the home button, Now the console crashes on Startup, as soon as I sign in and the red ring doesn't occur, and when I do the Q-Tip trick to overheat and reset it, the same thing occurs. I don't know what to do and none of the
    tutorials on youtube have been working for me.

    hey i am also experiencing the same issues as you, but they only came up after the last system update. I also tried clearing the cache but it didn't work

    Your console is dying and is in need of replacement. This Q-Tip trick may serve to help you use the console a little bit longer but in the end all things die no matter how much you want to save them.

    You could either send the console in for a repair or purchase a new one.

    So after many attempts and profanities I finally got it working! Didn't know that holding LB + RB + X while the game boots up and holding them till main menu clears up the game's own cache...and that got it working for me!

    I found out in the bethesda help forums and I think this method it's not what well-known... When the bethesda logo pops up hold those down and after a while you'll get directly to the menu and your game cache will be cleared.

    So if you're having crashes, freezing or whatever try this one, it might help! ;)

    Borderlands Update Seemingly Breaks Game

    It is an Xbox 360 console. I have cleared the cache a few times, yes. Whenever I re-downloaded the update after clearing the cache, the same issue persisted.

    Also it is not just the issue of no sound, the game crashes the console completely on start up with the update.

    Continuing without the update the game is fine.
