Original games (on list) won't play on 360...

Hello and Good Day! Wondering if anybody has an idea/solve for why my Original games (that are on the 'will play list') won't play on my 360? I read the answer from 2011. Yeah, that's not working... Thanks in Advance

Dino crisis 3, Will it work?

Does not look like this title will work with the Xbox 360. Please check the following page which has a list of compatible titles: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-games/play-original-games

If the game isn't on that list it likely won't work on your Xbox 360. Hope this helps.

What hard drive do you have? Did it come with the console or was it purchased separately?

Hello. It's a 320G I bought separately. All my 360 games, etc. play fine. Was just hoping to play some of the 'old school' games that I/we enjoy(ed).

Was the hard drive brand new from a retailer or did you purchase it from a third party like ebay or used? Original Xbox games require an official MS hard drive in order to run because of the emulation software on them. If you purchased it from a place like
ebay, it's highly likely to be a knock off and not an official hard drive.

Dammit man. lol Yeah, that might be it. I purchased it online from... somewhere. Is there a way to tell, if I pull it out of there? And will pulling it out do anything, uh, Bad? I would turn system off first

There's really no way to tell other than that they won't play original Xbox games. A lot of them look like official hard drives.

As long as the console is off, there's no problem taking it out.

When playing any xbox original game on the 360 the xbox guide button and online features like friends list etc. won't work. Even from the games on demand version.

Honestly some Xbox original games can be played via xbox 360 if you have Xbox live, Here is the resource for where i found the information

support.xbox.com/.../play-original-games and also a list of Xbox games you can play on Xbox 360. Press CTRL+F to find the game your looking for faster.

Now concluding the fact you want to make a original Xbox game a Xbox 360 game i don't think Microsoft will actually do that... Unless the game developer decides to re-make the game itself. Which i am quite sure they won't do.

But still try to play the original game on the Xbox 360 and look at the list in the link i gave above to see if you find a game you'd like to play on the Xbox 360 that is a xbox original.

If you're looking at this -
support.xbox.com/.../play-original-games

then that is the full list of all backwards compatible games. If the game is not on that list then it won't work.

Apologies but the list of original Xbox games that are playable on 360 was last updated in 2007. I would suggest consulting this list for the games that are playable on 360. They will not be adding anymore titles to this list.
