Original Black Ops not working on Xbox One, two consoles, two discs.

A buddy of mine and I were trying to play zombies on xbox one, he has a disc from a couple years ago, I bought one from Game Stop on May 25, 2017. Neither of our consoles will allow either of the discs to be installed. We went through phone support with
Microsoft and soft factory reset our consoles, as well as some blu-ray reset setting that we were instructed to try. Both still get a "error, %2 took too long to install" message, both discs work on Xbox 360, both Xbox One consoles play other discs just fine.

No. For two reasons. Blacks Ops and Ghosts are two entirely different games for one. And obviously Xbox One and Xbox 360 are entirely two different consoles.

Black ops not working on my Xbox

Ok, to start off, I believe that the Black Ops games were produced on very low quality discs. Me and both of my sons all have our own Xbox's. Each of us has had to replace our copy of Black Ops at least once. But there is one thing odd about the Black Ops
discs....for some reason the game may work on one Xbox, but not on another. We have two copies in our home that do that. My son's copy will work on his Xbox, but not one mine, and my copy will not work in his no matter what we try. We have one disc that has
quit working at all with absolutely no visible damage.

One thing that you can try to do since your game will actually make it to the main menu. In your Xbox guide, go to the MY Games section. With the Black Ops game in your console, select the icon for Black Ops and choose the option to install the game to you
hard drive. If it installs correctly, the game will play from your hard drive instead of the disc. This will also help to extend the life of your disc reader in your console.

I tried replacing the disc drive and it didn't work. The disc drive I replaced it with DID run Black Ops 2 in its old Xbox. This is clearly a software issue. The replacement drive was from a 09 Elite, the one I put it into (The original non-working with
Black Ops) was a 09 White Arcade.

I swapped disc drives between my two consoles. One could play Black Ops 2, but I bought it off ebay and it was banned from Live. So I swapped that drive with my other xbox, which cannot play black ops 2, and the new drive in it (Which CAN play Black Ops
2 in the other xbox) cannot once being installed into the xbox that could not play it. This is clearly not the drives being bad in any way.
