Original Avatars not saving even when I press "Save"

Discus and support Original Avatars not saving even when I press "Save" in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Xbox Avatars may be rather obsolete as of now, but I've recently wanted to further update my Original Avatar now that the "new" ones are deprecated....     Original Avatars not saving even when I press "Save"


    Xbox Avatars may be rather obsolete as of now, but I've recently wanted to further update my Original Avatar now that the "new" ones are deprecated.

    While I have been able to get it's intended current form as my profile picture, whenever I try to save my avatar then exit the app, it's reverted to how it was before. No matter how many times I click "Save", reopening the app has my bowler-hatted lookalike back to wearing the top hat he had before, amongst everything else I changed being gone.

    There's a grave issue with internally saving changes here, and it's up to you to give the ol' avatars attention again and promptly fix it, lest they be perpetually frozen in time. Thanks in advance!

    I just went through the same process with my original avatar and it saved that picture, but it won't save a picture with the new avatar.

    Hello Diego,

    when I use "xbox original avatars" app I can see my old avatar and can make changes to his appearances and save them.

    The option you mentioned "use original avatar" is in the "xbox avatar editor" app but when I choose this option it just keeps trying to load my original avatar. It's like the program just won't recognize it. The circle is just keep spinnning around where
    it is supposed to display my original avatar.

    I know it's not a big problem. I'm just disappointed that I can't use the items that I purchased for my avatar in the 360 era :)

    Never mind. It's probably helpful to save the avatar, then buy avatar marketplace items. If you don't save the avatar when, for example, you swap the gender of your avatar everything will be available to purchase from the avatar marketplace, except for the
    dress up items... For some strange reason.

    Cannot Download Profile

    It started for me when I saved my avatar. It froze up my console after it saved and I was forced to delete the profile. Seems like this isnt a .gpd problem as much as it is an avatar problem. My avatar DOES show whenever the profile partially downloads.
