Ori Still Impressive

I'm so glad people are actually discussing the game I posted about for once instead of arguing over old-school vs. new-school or AAA vs. Indie. Thanks, guys!

 

Since I got it, I have experienced sometimes when I launch the game, it crashes back to the Home Dashboard (but it doesn't crash my console). Usually try launching it a few times and it works, but glad someone mentioned there's an Update coming to resolve
this.

Otherwise yuh I love the ideas of this game.

 

I've just met the wee green creatures that roll down 100mph at you !! They're a right pain in the *** !!!

Did the YOU JUST GOT SLAPPED IN THE FACE achievement unlock at least?
I think my One would have got free flying lessons as it sailed out my window. lol

 

Bloody hell, just looked at the achievements for this game and I think some will be impossible for me. Eg- immortal: complete whole game without dying. I'm only 66% through and have respawned over 600 times. supersonic: finish the game in under hours,
no chance lol

 

I love this game to bits, but man the difficulty at times is absolute nails!

Complete the whole game without dying? Nah..

 

Haha spacman I just saw that achievement last night too. I'm 93% done with the game and close to 800 deaths. Pretty sure that achievement will have to stay locked for me. Same with finishing under 3 hours. I'm at 15hrs.

 

Beautiful looking game. Good old fashioned platform with great visuals and sound track. Not often I say this but Well done Microsoft games studio.

 

@Goth LOL .. i sure wanted to!! but last night i couldn't help myself so i initiated a speed run and got myself right back to the Ginso Tree in no time. so although i'm not as close as i was before i glitched out, i'm not too far off now.

i couldn't help it .. i wanted more Ori lol ... so i bit the bullet and did a speed run. it was much easier the second time through. just still sucks i got stuck under that rock. but now i'm at least close to where i was and it didn't take me much time
to get back so i'm happy now.

 

I'm well stuck !!! Just went past a orange ball shooting a laser but when I jump up there's a tree to the left with a green mist I can't destroy and if I go to the right there's a green creature that rolls down the hill if I jump over it there's then nowhere
to go I'm thinking you need to get the creature to crash into the tree but there's a gap and it just explodes!! Any advice would be most welcome

 

hmmm it sounds like i know where you are Mr B but not positive. tell me the abilities that you have with Ori and then i'll be able to tell where you're at.

it does though sound like you're at this one part where you just have to keep going up. the orange ball laser shooter you can just run underneath, scale the wall and jump on the platform above it. you can't get the rolling thing to break that wall as you
said. there's a gap. but what you can do is jump over it and let it follow you back to kill that other monster in front of you OR have it roll down to kill what's below.

i'm pretty sure that's where you're at. you have to keep going up.

 

When I load my game it says I'm in Hollow Grove if that's any help ?

Only skills I have are spirit/charge flame and wall jump

There's a green creature that rolls down the hill and you can jump up onto a small ledge that has a wall with a crack in it and green mist there's a kind of brown glowing stick behind the wall I can't get to if I jump off the ledge and head up that's where
the orange laser is I can get past that then the other green creature rolls down the hill if I jump that there's a kind of stump to jump over and then nowhere to go ??

 

That tree is probably the most evil thing I've ever had to encounter in a game

 

OK yeah I'm a fool !! I completely forgot there was a map you could use and I'm trying to find the ginso tree (not that I want to by the sounds of things) I'm at the wall and on the other side is a spirit well but I can't get to it also the wall back down
the hill it says is a breakable wall do I need a different ability before I can break it ?

 

well the part that you're on, you should be able to hold X down and blast it (if it's that kind of wall). or you have one of those rock dudes roll into it. if you can't force one of those roller guys to break into it then there's another way around it.
