Ori not that hard...

I just recently beat the game. Granted some parts were challenging, I never really felt like my back was against the wall. Many reviews have said that it's too unforgiving at times thus giving it a lower grade. I'm not trying to dispute review scores, but
I feel most have been a bit unfair on the game for that. It's honestly just a simple game of trial and error. There are many other games SO much harder than this. I don't know if reviewers forgot the fact that you can basically create a checkpoint at any point,
basically making it too easy imo. If anything, the main problem with the game is its framerate dips. I wish the game was longer too because it is real fun, but it's $20. Sorry for my short rant, but I feel like if this game is hard then either I'm a master
or the critics just suck.

ORI AND THE BLIND FOREST CRASH AT START UP - XBOX ONE ELITE

I think it is also important if we talk about Ori atBf or Ori atBF DE. My normal Ori has still a few starting issues, while the DE not.

I am using 0,5TB HDD. Planing on getting an USB HDD, but still not needed yet.

So my Ori and Ori DE is loading from normal XBO HDD (0,5) TB.

New to XBOne and live.com I setup my new XBO and DL/install Ori and update, when the Moon logo comes up it says "press A" which I do. The XBO home screen appears like nothing happened. Now I click on Ori and I get the Ori Moon screen for a few seconds then
back to XBO home screen. ???

I tried to do a support chat but xbox.com returns an error "chat too busy" wtf. Any help?" I don't have an external hard drive. Why would I need that? Ori is the only game I installed...please help.

 

I've still yet to get back into this game myself but just like everyday gamers I've seen some reviewers say it was really tough, other's found it easier.

Just yesterday I saw a link on Twitter showing the Ori leaderboards, some completed the game with 99% completion rate in just over 3 hours, some it took over 15 hours with a lower completion rate.

I'd be happy just to finish it, I'm not going to worry about completion times or completion % lol

 

I completed the game in 13hrs 35mins. It has some challenging moments but as an old school gamer it made the game more enjoyable. I took my time with it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I can well imagine gamers that never played games from the 80's or 90's will struggle with it. Games are generally too easy these days.

I've just started playing through again. Going for 100% completion this time, then maybe completing in under 3hrs.

Fantastic game. GOTY for me so far.

 

It can be challenging or difficult....but not "impossible" (like some games were 2 decades ago)....I think reviewers weren't wrong.Same thing can be said for games like DMC,Dark Souls,ect...

But it took me sometime to do the Gismo tree (water sequence)....

But anyway,great game.

 

the first time i played the Ginso Tree, it took me quite a few dozen tries lol. BUT when i was forced to restart due to a glitch, my second time playing i got passed it in two tries. the game is challenging in some parts, really challenging in others
but still fun to play.

 

I spent ages last night trying to escape the water in the ginso tree but gave up after awhile for the sake of my sanity!

tried it again this morning and did it first time!!

So yeah, if you get stuck at one particular section for awhile, take a break and come back when your more chilled

 

I got to the Genzo Tree the other day and haven't gone back because I'm almost afraid to continue based upon what I've heard from everyone here and in other threads... ><

 

Why? Don't base your play through on other people's opinions. Hop back on that ship. It's worth it.

I just finished the game with about 980 deaths. I really thought I was going to hit 1000. Ginso Tree was an easy 100 deaths for me and close to a rage quit. Everyone is different. Some moments felt nearly impossible and I had to put it down. But when I picked
it back up I was back into it. So frustrating for me but so satisfying.

 

Here ya go...best way to reach them as far as I know, I also have a Thread about a stuck glitch in Ori...Also have reported it, I recommend everyone do the same so we can get a hot-fix/patch...Let Our Voice Be Heard!!!

This game crashed the first time I tried to play from a save point. I don't know why they released it if there is this significant of a bug. The only way I can get it to work is to uninstall and reinstall it. Thanks a lot Microsoft, way to mess up something
else. Also, it keeps crashing. If I have to reinstall it every time I want to play then I will quit playing this game. I am starting to wish I got a PS4.

 

I have not had any problems with it crashing. Tough luck, Woodsy...
